Woman arrested after punching an umpire

On Saturday, an umpire was punched in the face after a softball game in Laurel which resulted in the arrest of 32 year old Kiara Nichelle Thomas.

The umpire, Kristi Moore of Ellisville, posted pictures on social media, showing her black eye  and claimed that she was punched by a parent after a game.

Thomas was charged with simple assault and fined $422.25.
