Woman hits bear in Warren County

VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News) – A Warren County woman hit a bear with her car shortly before 9:30 p.m. somewhere in the area of Hankison and Wright Roads.

No injuries were reported and no bear was seen in the area when deputies arrived. However, Warren County Deputies spent a fair amount of time searching for the injured bear without success. The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks will have units in the area searching for the injured bear in the morning.

Use extra caution if you are in this area. An injured bear can behave unpredictably.
