A would-be robber is in recovery after being shot in the buttocks by a store clerk in Jackson, WLBT reports.

According to the report, the incident happened at the Midtown Food Market in Jackson.

Witnesses stated a man was attempting to steal from the store when the clerk opened fire, striking him in the buttocks.
