YMCA to host free tutoring sessions starting Monday

The Vicksburg YMCA is offering free weekly tutoring sessions for its members and prime-time program participants starting Monday, April 27.

The sessions will be hosted Monday through Thursday at the YMCA located at 267 YMCA Place in Vicksburg. Two time slots are available: 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.

Teachers from the Vicksburg-Warren School District will be helping students from both private and public schools. Students will be able to receive help to improve grades and master other end-of-year skills.

Each student is limited to two days per week for tutoring to ensure everyone has a chance to participate. and the sessions will be free of charge.

Space will be limited to maintain social distancing guidelines. For reservations and information, contact the Vicksburg YMCA at 601-638-1071.
