Vicksburg and Warren County schools rack up basketball wins and losses

Teams all around the River City played basketball last night resulting in three schools winning and one school losing their first games of the year.

Vicksburg High men and women’s teams lost last night when they traveled to Holmes County Central. The Lady Gators fell short with a score of 58-49. The men could not pull out a victory either, losing 70-55.

The Warren Central boys won their game against Germantown by nearly 20 points with a final score of 73-54, and the Lady Vikings also won 47-40 against Germantown.

Four Junior High teams pulled off victories starting with the Vicksburg Boys team who beat Byram 51-37. Tyler Carter scored 21 points with 13 rebounds. VJHS ladies would also knock off Byram with a score of 22-18.

Warren Central Junior High teams traveled to Pearl where both the girls and the boys would return with victories. The boys won 55-34, and the girls won 27-10.
