Vehicle hit a 6-year-old on Court Street in Vicksburg

At around 6:50 p.m. Sunday, Vicksburg-Warren E-911 received a call that a child had been struck by a vehicle on Court Street.

The 6-year-old child was transported to Merit Health by private vehicle. Initial reports indicate the child’s injuries are not life threatening.

Vicksburg Police are at the accident scene conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
