Mayor to announce mask mandate Wednesday

Wednesday, July 15, Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs, Jr. will hold a COVID-19 news conference and Facebook live question and answer session at 2:30 p.m. in the Robert M. Walker Building Board Room.

Mayor Flaggs will announce an expanded COVID-19 Civil Emergency Order mandating masks be worn inside Vicksburg businesses and public buildings and the creation of a special crime prevention task force.

Also in attendance will be the City of Vicksburg’s recently hired COVID-19 compliance officer, Tabitha Martin-Crawford.

The Facebook Live Q & A will be streamed live on the City of Vicksburg Public Access VTV Facebook page and on the Vicksburg Daily News Facebook page.
