Mississippi Capitol COVID-19 outbreak increases to 45 cases

The COVID-19 outbreak at the Mississippi Capitol has increased to 45 cases.
Tuesday during the governor’s live update, State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs said the outbreak has now claimed 45, including 31 legislators.
On July 15, the count increased from 36 to 41.
At least two legislators have been hospitalized: Reps. Earle S. Banks (D-Jackson) and Manly Barton (R-Moss Point).
Among other lawmakers who have tested positive for the virus are Lt. Gov. Delbert Hosemann and House Speaker Philip Gunn.
