Severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 3:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for central Warren County, northeastern Claiborne County and southwestern Hinds County until 3:45 p.m. Monday, June 7.
At 3:01 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Utica to Rocky Springs, moving north at 25 miles per hour. These storms could produce wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and quarter size hail. Hail damage to vehicles is expected, as well as wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
The storms are expected to reach the following communities as follows
- Dry Grove around 3:10 p.m.
- Newman around 3:25 p.m.
- Raymond around 3:30 p.m.
- Edwards, Bolton, Bovina and Flowers around 3:45 p.m.
