Multiple trees, powerlines down around Vicksburg & Warren County

The thunderstorm moving through the area has caused multiple trees to fall, some blocking roadways and others on powerlines.

One of those trees is blocking Halls Ferry Road near the 5500 block.

Another tree has fallen on a power line on Capri Drive, off of Confederate Avenue.

The 1800 block of Martin Luther King also has a tree down that is both blocking the roadway and entangled in powerlines.

Please use caution if you are traveling in the weather. Assume any downed power lines are live and dangerous. The Vicksburg Daily News will bring you more information on these incidents as it becomes available.
