Mo Williams officially named as Jackson State head basketball coach

Former NBA player Mo Willams has officially been named as Jackson State University’s head basketball coach.

Williams spent the previous two seasons as head coach of Alabama State University. He also spent 14 years playing in the NBA and helped the Cleveland Cavaliers to a NBA Championship in 2016.

Williams is a Jackson native and once starred at Murrah High School before heading to the University of Alabama.

Willams will take over for Wayne Brent who announced his retirement last week.
