Residents who rely on Fisher Ferry Water District may have noticed a coloration of their water, causing concern.

Fisher Ferry Water District announced they are aware of the issue and the water is safe to consume.

According to a statement by the water district, the cause of the water coloration is due to a chemical line that froze up over the Christmas break.

The water is safe to drink, as we have plenty of chlorine in the water for disinfection,” read the statement.

Fisher Ferry Water District states they have crews that will be flushing today (Thursday) to pull the water from the system.
