Abandoned newborn found dead on a Mississippi porch

A newborn baby was found dead in Southaven, Mississippi on Thursday after being abandoned on a porch.

Police have not yet identified the mother of the infant who was found but they are concerned for her health.

“We are asking for the help of the public to help identify this mother and infant,”Major Seth Kern with the Southaven Police Department said in a press release. “Together, we can move forward and provide the necessary resources for this mother and family.”
