Car skids into ravine on Halls Ferry Road

A black Chrysler was traveling north on Halls Ferry Road when it left the roadway and overturned in a ravine. The incident occurred between the Halls Ferry/Pemberton Square Boulevard intersection and the ramp to merge onto Interstate 20 east.

The driver has emerged miraculously uninjured. It is unclear how the driver lost control of the vehicle, but the fresh rain has made roadways slick and dangerous.

Traffic will be affected at this busy intersection until approximately 5:30 p.m. Drivers are encouraged to take an alternate route if possible.
