Doris C. Ivey Jarrell, 1938 – 2023

Doris C. Ivey Jarrell passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 84.

Doris was born on April 18, 1938, the daughter of Edward Clark and Effie Acree Clark.  She was loved by so many people and many of them called her mama.  She developed close relationships with her co-workers, treating them like family and was a mentor to many of them.  She is remembered by most people as the flower lady at Walmart where she worked for many years.

She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Mary Ann Simmons and her brothers Larry Clark and Jerry Clark.

She is survived by her husband Roston Jarrell, daughters Brenda Mitchell (Wayne), Karen Redden, Tammy Evans (Ricky), Anita Day, Tommy Ivey-Green (Mark), sons Ernest “Roy” Mathes (Lisa), Edward Mathes (Georgia), brother Tommy Clark (Beverly), 14 grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023, at River of Life Church.  Pastor Tommy Presson will officiate the service.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Chouccoli, Willie Daniels, Brady Green, Parker Green, Carlos Mitchell, Bobby Parker and Ronnie Smith.
