Vicksburg native and Pearl River Community College softball player Hannah Embry has committed to play for the University of North Alabama.

Embry confirmed her decision to the Vicksburg Daily News on Thursday night.

“I chose UNA because the campus is absolutely beautiful, and their coaching staff is one of the best I have seen in a long time and they have great expectations for their players,” Embry said.

Embry is a second year pitcher at PRCC where she has helped the Wildcats become nationally ranked in both her years. She was also named as the team’s MVP in her freshman season.

Embry is a former Porter’s Chapel Academy star where she started on the varsity level since the sixth grade but she will now take her talents to a higher level.
