Porter’s Chapel Academy will now advance to the third round of the playoffs after defeating Calhoun Academy 4-3 on Thursday.

The Eagles went up 1-0 after a single by John Wyatt Massey in the first inning.

PCA grabbed three scores in the second after Zach Ashley got a home run with two men on base as they went up 4-2 by the end of the inning.

Calhoun managed to get one more run by the end of the day but PCA managed to hold them off after Ashley struck out Walker in the seventh.

Taylor Labarre and Laken Bradley both went 2 for 4 at the plate while Ashley and Massey both got a hit. Ashley also struck out six batters in the win.
