A few events will happening on Thursday around Vicksburg for Veterans Day.

(This event has been cancelled) At 9:30 a.m., the Veterans Day Parade will kick off which will go from Belmont to Jackson Street, downtown.
(This event has been moved to the American Legion post 3 on Monroe Street) Following the parade, the Rose Garden Ceremony will happen at 11 a.m. on Monroe Street where Colonel Robert Hilliard will be the guest speaker.
Shortly after noon, veterans can receive a meal at the American Legion Post 3 where they will be serving chicken.
Admission to the Vicksburg National Military park will be free on Thursday, in honor of Veterans Day. For more information call 601-636-0583.
