Fetus found in a Mississippi sewer system

A human fetus was found on Wednesday in a Booneville sewer system.

Workers at the water treatment plant found the fetus in a lift system around 7:30 a.m.

Booneville Police Chief made a statement about the findings to WTVA.

“You probably couldn’t hold it with one hand but you could hold it with both your hands,” he said. “But it is probably big enough you couldn’t hold it in one hand.”

Police are still unsure of how the fetus got into the sewer system and no criminal charges have been filed at this time.
