Flashes crushed Delta Streets 58-27 in their season opener

St. Aloysius boy’s basketball team opened their season with a 58-27 win over Delta Streets on Tuesday.

“The guys came out and played defense like we told them to but we got kinda relaxed after awhile but  all in all they did exactly what we asked them to do,” St. Al Head Coach Kim Windom said.

The Flashes popped things off with a 20-3 first quarter lead as Will Keen, Anthony McCloud, and Ahmad Stewart easily got to the basket.

By halftime, the Flashes were up 25-12 after points by Carter Henderson and McCloud but they would soon turn things up a notch after halftime.

Korey Sims showed up in the second half to get get some points on the board while McCloud and Stewart continued to dominate. Carson Henderson knocked down a few free throws late in the game.

The Flashes were able to put away the victory wasn’t by the end of the night with Stewart leading with 15 points followed by McCloud and Sims who added 13. Keen and Carson Henderson both finished with seven points in the win.

The Flashes will travel to Clinton Christian on Friday as they are now 1-0 under Head Coach Kim Windom.
