Flashes fell short to Central Hinds on Thursday

St. Aloysius baseball fell short against Central Hinds on Thursday in a 4-1 loss.

Both team struggled to earn a run early-on in the game as things would remain scoreless until the third inning. Matthew Pitre got a single in the first inning for the Flashes.

The Cougars picked up three runs in the third after a single from Burgess and a double by Chavez. They would get their final run in the fourth from an error.

Late in the game, Conner Gaul, Cole Autrey, John David Liggett and Barrett Shows all got hits for the Flashes. Gaul got the RBI to give them their lone run of the night as he went 2 for 4 at the plate..

Pitre struck out eight batters and allowed four hits.

The Flashes will host Central Hinds on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
