Former Warren Central softball standout Kaylee Hoeft is gearing up for her second season with Coahoma Community College and is looking to have a big impact on the team.

Hoeft, who played in nearly every game last season, will be at shortstop with a possibility of pitching while CCC fights for a winning record this year.

“Team chemistry is one of the biggest things in the game,” Hoeft said. “We have a better core group this year and I’m looking forward to seeing our improvements.”

Hoeft’s been a stellar athlete for a while now. Just a couple of years ago she was helping WC to an undefeated season under head coach Dana McGivney in her senior year, until COVID-19 canceled everything.

Hoeft and CCC will kick their season off on Feb. 22 against Southwest Tennessee.
