Lady Vikes took a 4-1 loss to Loyd Star on Thursday

Warren Central High School softball team took a 4-1 loss to Loyd Star on Thursday.

The Lady Vikes were able to pull in some early hits from Abby Morgan, Jenn Smith and Sarah Cameron Fancher but the game would remain scoreless.

The first run score of the game wouldn’t happen until the fourth inning when Lola Crozier got a double then Adalyn Anderson hit a ground ball which led to Kennedi McKay getting the the run with WC leading 1-0.

The Lady Vikes maintained their lead until the sixth when Burt singled to bring in two runs for Loyd Star. They would eventually pick up two more runs before the inning was over to upset WC 4-1.

Sancher went 2 for 4 at the plate while Jenn Smith, Abby Morgan, Crozier, Anderson and Makayla Jackson all had one hit.

Morgan struck out six and allowed five hits.

The Lady Vikes will travel to Germantown at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
