Mississippi’s top ranked basketball player commits to MSU

Mississippi State University received a four-star recruit Tuesday when Forest Hill High School’s Keondre Montgomery announced that he will become a Bulldog.

Montgomery, who averaged 28 points per game last season for the Forest Hill Patriots, is already expressed how excited he is to join MSU and how hard he plans to work to contribute his best to the team.

”My talent can contribute early,” Montgomery told WJTV. “What I bring—my teamwork, my hard-work, my dedication to all—I put in the game. I feel like they’re going to get the best out of me.”

As the team’s lead scorer, Montgomery led the Patriots to a 25-6 season this year. He stands 6-feet-6-inches tall, and he plays at the small forward position where he will most likely remain as a Bulldog.

He has been rated the No. 1 basketball player in Mississippi by 247 sports, and many of his supporters will be watching as he continues to chase his dreams at the next level.
