Missy Gators defeated Ridgeland 13-8 on Tuesday

Vicksburg High School softball team grabbed a 13-8 road win over Ridgeland on Tuesday.

Ridgeland went up by one run in the first inning but the Missy Gators would respond after a double from Lili Kistler and a RBI from Avery VanNorman to go up 3-1.

The Missy Gators would pick up six runs in the third inning after a few runners scored off wild pitches while Lexi Kistler got a RBI from a nice single along with Amari Johnson as VHS went up 8-1.

Lili would get another double in the fourth to bring in a run while Charli VanNorman also got a RBI shortly before Harmony Harris hit a home run in the fifth as VHS went up 12-4.

The Missy Gators wouldn’t get another run until the seventh when Jo’Lencia Howard hit a line drive to bring in their final score in the 13-8 win.

Jordan Grace struck out nine in the win while bringing in two hits along with Charli and Lili. Lexi and Harris also had a hit.

VHS will travel to Loyd Star on Thursday.
