Morgan struck out 13 batters to lead WC over Wesson

Warren Central softball team picked up a 3-0 win at home over Wesson on Tuesday night.

Sarah Cameron Fancher grabbed an early hit to get WC on the board first followed by a groundout from Kamryn Morson, while Jenn Smith scored off a wild pitch to put the Lady Vikes up 3-0. Smith also had a hit in that inning.

Within the next couple of innings, Abby Morgan would strikeout seven straight batters as both teams struggled to hit the ball. She would eventually strikeout six more to end the night with 13.

Smith and Fancher would get the lone hits for WC while Wesson only brought in one hit. Sanders struck out 11 for Wesson.

WC will travel to Ridgeland on Friday.
