Mississippi State University baseball team will now advance to the NCAA Super Regional after defeating Virginia Commonwealth University 6-5 on Monday.

Houston Harding got the win for the Bulldogs, throwing an impressive 10 strikeouts in the big win.

Spencer Packard went 2 for 3 at the plate with three RBIs and one run score on the night to keep the Bulldogs season alive. Marcus Skundrich also had two RBIs, while teammates Kamren James and Logan Tanner both hit home runs.

The Bulldogs will now advance to its fifth straight NCAA Super Regional and will face Notre Dame on Saturday at 1 p.m.
