Ole Miss baseball coach Mike Bianco has been named the National Coach of the Year by Collegiate Baseball.

Bianco led the Rebels to a 16-1 record before the season came to an early end due to COVID-19. The Rebels were on a 16-game winning streak, with their only loss in the season opener against Louisville. The Rebels came back and won the series against Louisville which began their streak.

Bianco has been the head coach of the Rebels since 2000, and he has created a legacy at Ole Miss as the winningest coach in the program’s history. Bianco has a 767-440-1 coaching record with the Rebels and an overall 867-511-1 head coaching record.

The Rebels were ranked in the top 5 in 2020 as Bianco finished his 20th season as the head coach. In addition to being Ole Miss Baseball’s all-time wins leader, he is the third-winningest coach in SEC history.
