One of two Jefferson County escapees captured

One of two escapees from the Jefferson County Jail was captured in Chicago.

Marcus Bridges and Desmond Fortenberry escaped from the jail July 23.

United States Marshals Service captured Bridges in Chicago Friday, Prentiss, Mississippi, Mayor Charley Dumas wrote in a social media post.

Fortenberry, who was arrested in connection with a murder, remains at large. He is considered extremely dangerous.
