The Porter’s Chapel Academy Eagles got their first win of the season last night as they shutout Newton County Academy in a 10-0 win.

There wasn’t much offense for the Eagles as they finished with 166 total yards but they were able to play hard and bring home a major victory after last week’s loss. Eagles’ running back Tyler Washington scored the only touchdown of the night after he took off for a 45-yard score in the third quarter.

Washington mostly starred on defense last night where he racked up 10 tackles and two sacks to help his team bring home the win and give the Eagles a 1-1 record.

The Eagles will have their first home game of the season next Friday as they face Deer Creek at 7 p.m.
