Porter’s Chapel Academy welcomed former football player Josh Masterson as the new assistant football coach for the Eagles.

PCA made the announcement on its Facebook page Monday.

”Please join us in welcoming Josh Masterson as our new assistant football coach and history teacher,” the school wrote. “Josh is a recent graduate of Alcorn State University, and he is also a 2013 alumnus of PCA! Welcome home, Coach Masterson!”

Masterson will coach both the offensive and defensive line for the Eagles under head coach Blake Purvis.

During his days at PCA as a football player, Masterson played fullback center, and defensive end under former coach Wade Patrick from 2010 to 2013, and he was named to the All-County team. Masterson helped the Eagles to a 6-6 season in his junior season in 2011.
