Ivy League cancels its 2020 football season

The Ivy League has canceled all fall sports including football due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The announcement of the cancellation came Wednesday when an unnamed source from the Ivy League tipped off CBS. A decision on whether the season will be pushed back to the spring hasn’t been made yet.
“Football hasn’t been decided yet if it would be moved to the spring, but logistically, I don’t know how that would work,” an Ivy League source told CBS Sports. “You can’t move all the sports to the spring; the logistics don’t work. The soccer field is the lacrosse field. The scheduling would be a nightmare.”
The Ivy League consists of eight prestigious Northeast universities, including Harvard and Yale, known worldwide for their rigorous academic standards. The Ivy League joins other colleges and universities that have already canceled fall sports, such as Morehouse College in Atlanta, which canceled at the end of June.
