PCA won their softball tournament on Saturday after going undefeated

Porter’s Chapel Academy softball team won their tournament on Saturday after finishing 3-0.

Game 1
Porter’s Chapel Academy defeated Discovery Christian 14-11 in game one.

Olivia Dawson led the team in batting as she went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and a double. Sophie Masterson hit a triple and brought in three RBIs while Marley Bufkin and Emily Muirhead each had one hit. Mia Abdo went 2 for 3 with one RBI.

Emily Muirhead struck out four batters and Masterson struck out one.

Game 2:

The Lady Eagles dominated over Union Christian in a 14-2 win.

Abdo, Kyleigh Hearn(RBI) and Masterson(RBI) each had a hit. Masterson also struck out six batters as PCA quickly advanced to the championship round.

Game 3:

The Lady Eagles played against Discovery Christian in the Championship Game that resulted in a 12-1 victory.

Bufkin(RBI) went 2 for 2 with one RBI while Abdo(2 RBIs), Masterson and Dawson(RBI) each had one hit. Coley Potter, Kendall Smith, Muirhead and Blackmon each had an RBI.

Muirhead struck out five batters in the win and PCA will travel to face River Oaks Academy on Monday.
