Police pursuit ends in a crash on I-20 in Louisiana

A police pursuit in Louisiana ended with a crash on the ramp to the I-20 Mississippi River Bridge.

The right lane on I-20 East in Louisiana is currently blocked due to the accident but traffic is flowing slowly through the area. Expect a momentary slowdown while crews work to investigate the scene and remove the vehicle.

Delta Marshal Sam Kennedy attempted to pull over a black Cadillac for a traffic violation. The suspect failed to yield to lights and sirens. Kennedy was about to terminate the chase when he saw smoke ahead and came upon the crashed vehicle. The driver, a juvenile was uninjured and was taken into custody.

Delta Marshals are working the scene of the accident and have not released the identity of the youth or why he chose to flee.
