Sims recognized by the Mayor and Board of Alderman
Vicksburg native Malik Sims was recognized by the City of Vicksburg for his accomplishment of being the sixth ranked inside linebacker in Mississippi Junior Colleges.
Sims accepted a certificate from the Mayor and Board of Alderman on Tuesday, shortly after wrapping his season with Hinds Community College.
Sims went on to thank Mayor George Flaggs, Jr., Northward Alderman Michael Mayfield. Sr. and Southward Alderman Alex Monsour for the recognition.
Last week, Sims signed a football scholarship to continue playing at Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
