Severe storms will be possible today, with the greater chances from late morning into the evening. The storms could produce damaging winds and quarter to golf ball sized hail, and a tornado cannot be ruled out. Isolated strong to severe storms could develop in the early morning hours in northern portions of the area and later on in the southwest.

Thunderstorms could produce 1 to 3 inches of rain in a short amount of time today and Sunday, and may lead to Flash Flooding and minor river flooding. Several rounds of heavy rain could occur over the next few days.
