St. Aloysius’ softball team had no problem taking down Jackson Victors on Thursday, securing a 12-0 win. The Lady Flashes played without five varsity players due to other sports but still emerged victorious with their younger athletes.

Hits from Kyleigh Cooper and Madison Spencer propelled the Lady Flashes to a 5-0 lead in the first inning. Ruthie Britton extended St. Al’s advantage with two more runs after she hit her second home run of the season.

In the third inning, Raegan Thornell hit a double, complemented by doubles from Spencer and Mageigh Haller in the fourth.

Thornell went 2 for 2 at the plate, while both Cooper and Madison delivered two hits each. Kennedi Blassingame, Haller, and Britton each had one hit and two RBIs. Marleigh Gibellino also contributed a hit.

Although Spencer hit a home run, it was nullified by the umpires.

On the mound, Cooper registered five strikeouts and permitted just one hit.

The Lady Flashes will host Providence on Saturday.
