Tasha Jordan was recognized Monday at the Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting as the Employee of the Second Quarter by the City of Vicksburg.

Jordan works as a Deputy City Clerk in the City Clerk’s Office, which is responsible for keeping records of all proceedings of elected officials in Vicksburg.

The City Clerk’s Office compiles and distributes Board meeting agendas; maintains an accurate record of the proceedings; publishes public notices as required by law; conducts municipal elections; serves as custodian of all contracts, dockets of claims, ordinances, resolutions, submitted bids and other City records; coordinates record keeping activities of all City staff; maintains City cemetery records; and follows up on inquiries, complaints, letters, calls and research requests as prescribed by open record laws.
