Vicksburg’s Scott and Buys helped their collegiate teams to wins over the weekend

Vicksburg natives Jeff Scott Jr. and Reed Buys each helped their collegiate teams to a win on Saturday.

Jeff Scott:

Scott plays in the secondary for Miles College.

The team defeateated Alabama State University 21-17.

Scott also had one tackles for loss in the win and MC will will travel to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday.

Reed Buys:

Buys, who plays on the offensive line at the University of South Alabama, started in the 35-17 win against Southeastern Louisiana.

He blocked for the Jaguars’ offense which rushed for 248 yards and passed for 261 yards.

The team will travel to face Oklahoma State on Saturday.
