On Saturday, Aug. 29, at 3:29 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Meadow Lane. The victim stated that a male perpetrator stole a 1911 Rock Island Armory .45-caliber pistol. Because of the value of the gun, this burglary would be prosecuted as a grand larceny.

Colonial Daycare at 704 Belmont St. was the site of an auto burglary Sunday around 9:41 a.m. The victim reported that someone stole a purse with bank and credit cards as well as $15 in cash. The vehicle had been left unlocked.
