Warren County man convicted of felony child abuse

A Warren County man was convicted of felony child abuse on Wednesday.

Austin Zane Wigley received his conviction in the Warren County Circuit Court, with jurors taking less than 30 minutes to deliver a verdict.

The trial spanned two days. Assistant District Attorney Branan Southerland led the prosecution, assisted by Assistant DA Liam Walker.

Throughout the trial, jurors listened to testimonies detailing how the 7-week-old victim had a broken arm and leg. Medical experts also took the stand to provide their insights.

Circuit Court Judge Toni Terrett will sentence Wigley on Aug. 31. He faces a potential prison term ranging from five years to life.
