Warren Central High baseball team took a tough 8-7 loss to Theodore on Thursday.

A home run by Kylan Lander and a quick score on a passed ball by Connor Watkins pushed the Vikings up 3-0 in the first inning.

By the third inning, WC went up 7-0 after Ryan Nelson got a RBI along with a home run by Maddox Lunch.

RBIs by Reid and Hughes for Theodore got them on the board late in the game as the score stood at 7-3 at the end of the sixth. Theodore picked up five runs in the seventh after a couple of batters were hit by pitches along with Smith hitting a ground ball that brought in the final two scores.

Lynch struck out six in the loss. Seth Sterling went 2 for 3 at the plate while Landers and Lynch both had home runs.

WC will play UMS-Wright Prep on Friday at 4:00 p.m.
