WC hosted its second annual Valhalla Invitational on Saturday

Warren Central High School hosted their second annual Valhalla Invitational on Saturday, where several local athletes achieved their personal best times.

In the boys’ 3200, Warren Central secured a fifth-place finish overall. WC’s Jayden Dennis clinched the 18th spot. From St. Aloysius, Asher Rice finished 19th, and Jameson Streif came in 26th.

The Vikings Junior High girls secured second place, with Cora Lindsay clocking in at 13:00.73 and Yashira Narvaiz at 13:57.82. Both athletes finished in the top ten.

In the boys’ 5K, Matthew Brewer set a new personal record with a time of 18:02.52, securing ninth place at the event. WC finished in fifth place in the 5K, with both Brewer and Will Bates finishing in the top 25.

Casey Brown was Vicksburg High School’s top performer in that event.
