WC took down Pearl 56-45 in a district win

Warren Central High School boy’s basketball team took down Pearl 56-45 in a district win on Friday.

Jaylon Winters and Padre Gray Jr. got WC on the board early as they trailed 12-10 in the first quarter. By halftime, the Vikings took a 25-22 lead after a floater by Gray and a 3-pointer by Gaylon Turner.

Coming out of halftime, Deonta Segrest drove the ball in hard for a layup as the Vikings maintained their lead. Gray continued to dominate at the free throw line and Lazaveon Sylvester was able to get some easy layups as WC secured the win.

Gray led with 16 points and Sylvester finished with 10. Garrett Orgas-Fisher added seven on the board while Turner and Segrest both had five. Winters and Larry Reynolds Jr. both scored four points and Ronnie Blossom put up three while Roosevelt Harris added two.
