WCJHS defeated VJHS 28-24 on Monday

Warren Central Junior High School girl’s basketball team made a second-half comeback to defeat Vicksburg 28-24.

Zion Knox and Aaliyah Mims both put up points for VJHS to help the Missy Gators take a 14-11 halftime lead. Kylee Chambers hit a 3-pointer for WC early in the game. The Lady Vikes stepped up heavily in the third quarter as they only allowed two points while Keasia Williams and Tra’Marianna Garrett knocked down a few shots.

Williams carried the Lady Vikes to victory as she finished with 10 points and Parson added six. B. Duty had four points. Knox finished with seven points for VJHS and Layla Johnson added five while Mims scored four.
