Minor led Vicksburg Junior High to a 42-34 win Tuesday over Pearl

Vicksburg Junior High School basketball player Mincer Minor IV led the Gators to a 42-34 win Tuesday over Pearl High School.

Minor scored 10 points in the tough victory for the Gators to help them advance further into the Little Six Tournament. He also played great defense by rarely letting his opponent get to the goal to score.

Teammate Larry Reynolds also put up 10 points toward the win while DeCorey Knight Jr. put up 9 points. Dennis Battle scored 6 points and Michael Johnson added 5.

The Gators will play crosstown rivals Warren Central tonight, Thursday, at 5 p.m.
