Coley is heading to McLaurin High School to be an assistant coach
Ross Coley will be heading to McLaurin High school to be an assistant coach.
Coley made the announcement on Tuesday.
We’re making this move to be closer to my wife’s family and we wanted to be a little closer to them,” Coley said.
Coley spent the last two seasons as the head coach of Thrasher High School.
“We improved a lot and I’m very proud of the things we got accomplished here in the last couple of years,” Coley added. “We had to replace the scoreboard and the press box and the administration was great on helping us do both of those.”
At THS, Coley coached football, baseball and helped establish the archery team. The Rebels football team picked up big wins over Middleton, Ashland and Byers in 2022 while the powerlifting team had a state champion Alex Newton who won the 198 weight class.
“We enjoyed our time here and we’ve made some great friends but we now got the opportunity to be closer to my wife’s family,” Coley said.
Coley will be an assistant coach at McLaurin High School. He spent 18 years as an assistant at Warren Central High where he helped the Vikings to multiple winning seasons.
