Porter’s Chapel Academy football player Maureon Simms won the Golden Helmet Award.

Simms, who played on both the offensive and defensive line, won the award at PCA’s athletic banquet. He is a five-year starter and blocked for an offense that rushed for over 1,500 yards and over 1,200 passing yards in 2022.

Simms was coached by Blake Purvis.
