Area authorities searching for suspect in officer assault

At around 8:30 a.m. Monday, Warren County Deputies were dispatched to the Bovina Grocery for a report of an embezzlement/employee theft issue. Upon arrival an altercation ensued between Investigator Stacy Rollison and the suspect.

The suspect fled onto the Interstate westbound towards Vicksburg. A Vicksburg Police unit that was headed eastbound spotted the vehicle near Indiana Avenue, but was prevented from turning around by the median barrier.

The vehicle was subsequently spotted in Madison Parish, where authorities are in pursuit of the suspect.

The suspect is a black male driving a white Lincoln with no front bumper.
