Arrangements pending for Vicksburg Public Works Director Garnet Van Norman

Vicksburg Public Works Director Garnet Van Norman died on Saturday afternoon at the age of 70, weeks before he was set to retire.

Claiborne County Coroner J.W. Mallet informed Warren County Coroner Doug Husky that Van Norman died at his home at Lake Claiborne in Claiborne County.

Glenwood Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.

Van Norman dedicated nearly 33 years to the City of Vicksburg.
